Crazy Time Strategy: Test It on Real Spins First
By Reelagio Team8 min readUpdated
Most of us have done it. Crazy Time lands a couple of times, Cash Hunt drops a big one, and suddenly you’re going hard on every bonus. Twenty spins later it has all gone back, and then some.
When you’re up, it’s easy to lose track of how much risk you’re actually taking. A few wins make a bonus feel due and a strategy feel like it works. Neither is true, but in the moment it really doesn’t feel that way.
The free Crazy Time backtester on Reelagio is there to show you the other side before you play. It replays your bets over thousands of real Crazy Time results and shows what would have happened: profit or loss, how deep the swings got, and how often a balance would have run out. It also tells you straight away whether your mix is sensible or whether you’re about to overdo it. This guide shows you how to use it, step by step.
What is a Crazy Time backtest?
A backtest takes a betting strategy and runs it over results that already happened. Instead of guessing how “bonuses only” plays out, you see it spin by spin on real data. The Reelagio backtester uses real spins from the live Crazy Time table, collected around the clock. At the time of writing it holds over 6,500 spins, including the real bonus game payouts and top slot multipliers.
Step 1: Check the latest Crazy Time results

The top of the page works as a Crazy Time tracker. It shows the most recent spins, with the multiplier under each bonus, and how long ago each bonus last landed. In this example Crazy Time itself hadn’t hit in 107 spins.
A long gap doesn’t make a bonus “due”. Every spin is independent. But it’s useful to know what a normal gap looks like, and the backtester shows you that. If you’d rather not sit and watch the tracker, you can get a message when a gap gets long.
Step 2: Set your bets or pick a strategy

Type a stake into any of the 8 spots: 1, 2, 5, 10, Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and Crazy Time. Or pick one of the ready-made Crazy Time strategies:
- Everything: the same bet on all 8 spots
- Bonuses only: just the four bonus games
- Numbers only: just 1, 2, 5 and 10
- 10 + bonuses: the 10 plus all four bonuses
- Heavy on 1: a big bet on 1 with small bets on the bonuses
Then choose how many spins to test, your starting balance, and which flapper you’d pick in the Crazy Time bonus round (Green, Blue or Yellow).
Step 3: Read the backtest results

The chart is your balance, spin by spin, if you’d played this strategy over those real results. Under it you get:
- Profit / loss: where you’d have finished
- Return (RTP): what you got back for every 100 you bet
- Wagered: the total you put through
- Spins in profit: how many spins paid more than you bet
- Biggest spin: your best single result
- Worst drawdown: the deepest you’d have been down from your peak
- Longest dry run: the most spins in a row without a win
- Busts your balance?: the spin where you’d have run out, if you would
In our example we put $1 on each of the four bonuses, so $4 a spin, over the last 1,000 spins. It finished down $330.69 with a 91.7% return. Only 14.9% of spins paid more than the $4 bet. The best spin was a 200x Pachinko worth $197, and a $100 balance would have run out on spin 322. Your numbers will differ, because the tool always uses the latest spins.
Step 4: Simulate 2,000 sessions

One backtest is just one path through the results. Start at a different point and you’d get a different story. So the simulator plays 2,000 sessions from your starting balance, each made of spins picked at random from the real results.
Pick a session length (50, 100, 250 or 500 spins) and press Simulate. You get:
- Sessions in profit: how often you’d walk away up
- Went broke: how often your balance hit zero
- Bad, typical and good sessions: where you’d finish in a bad session (bottom 10%), a typical one (the middle) and a good one (top 10%)
For bonuses only with $100 over 100 spins, 31.8% of sessions finished in profit and 52.6% went broke. A typical session ended with $3.83 left. A good one ended with $296.
Step 5: See how often each spot hit

The last section compares how often each spot actually landed with how often it should, based on its number of segments on the wheel. The bar is what happened and the white mark is the wheel’s share.
Over a short sample some spots run hot and some run cold. Here Crazy Time landed 1.1% of the time against 1.9% on the wheel. Over enough spins these numbers move back towards the wheel.
Check your strategy before you play it
Under the bet board there are two quick checks that update as you change your bets.

How smart is this mix? rates your bets Smart, Average or Poor from the long-run return of each spot, weighted by how much you put on it, and tells you which bet is dragging it down. Over time, bets on 1 give back the most and Pachinko and Crazy Time the least.

The balance check looks at whether your balance fits your stake, how often nothing you bet on pays, and how often a session runs out of money. Going heavy on bonuses counts as a bonus hunt, which is a fair way to play, so instead of telling you off it tells you how big a balance you need to sit through the dry runs that really happened. In this example, $4 a spin on bonuses only with $100 behind it is underfunded: one real dry run with that mix cost $172. Smarter bonus hunt keeps your stake and moves more of it onto the better-returning bonuses.
Get a message when a bonus goes quiet
Watching the tracker for a long gap gets old fast. Game show alerts do the watching for you and message your Telegram when something you care about happens.

You build the alert as one sentence: pick the game, the spot and the condition. There are three kinds:
- Dry streak: a spot hasn’t landed for a number of spins, like no Crazy Time bonus in 216 spins
- Big result: a spot lands paying at least a multiplier, like Cash Hunt paying 500x or more
- Top slot: the Crazy Time top slot puts a big multiplier on a spot
Not sure what number to use? The quick values are based on how often each spot usually lands. The Crazy Time bonus is on 1 of 54 segments, so it lands about every 54 spins, and 216 is four times that. The Right now panel shows how many spins it has been since each spot last landed, and tapping one sets up a dry streak alert for it.

Before you save, it checks your alert against the last three days of real spins and tells you how often it would have gone off, from Very rare to Too often. Anything that would fire more than 48 times a day can’t be saved, so you don’t get buried in messages.
To set one up, sign in, connect your Telegram to @reelagiobot with one tap, and save the alert. Each message comes with a button to play and a button to open the backtester, and you can pause or delete an alert any time. If you just want the main Crazy Time droughts without building anything, send /alerts to the bot and switch on the bonuses you want.
What the backtester and alerts can and can’t tell you
It shows how a strategy behaved on real results: how rough the swings were, how long the dry runs lasted and how often a balance ran out. That’s the useful part when you’re choosing how to play.
It can’t predict the next spin. Crazy Time has a house edge on every bet, every spin is independent, and no betting pattern changes that. Use it to pick a strategy whose swings you’re comfortable with, not to find one that beats the game.
Alerts work the same way. They tell you a streak is long or a big result just landed, not what happens next.
Crazy Time strategy FAQ
Can you backtest Crazy Time?
Yes. The Reelagio Crazy Time backtester runs any combination of bets over thousands of real spins from the live table, for free and without an account.
What is the best Crazy Time strategy?
There’s no strategy that wins over time, because every bet has a house edge. What changes between strategies is the ride. Numbers-heavy strategies win more often but small. Bonuses-only strategies lose more spins in a row but can land big multipliers. A backtest shows you which ride you’d actually be on.
Is betting on bonuses only in Crazy Time worth it?
It depends on how much swing you can handle. In our test, bonuses only paid out on fewer than 1 in 6 spins and a $100 balance went broke in about half of 100-spin sessions, but the good sessions nearly tripled the balance. Run it yourself with your own stake to see.
Can I get notified when a Crazy Time bonus hasn’t hit?
Yes. Reelagio game show alerts message your Telegram when a bonus goes a set number of spins without landing, or when a spot pays a big multiplier. It’s free and works for Monopoly Live too.
Where do the Crazy Time results come from?
From the live Crazy Time table, recorded spin by spin, including the bonus game payouts and top slot multipliers. The tracker at the top of the backtester shows the latest ones.
